If we are Christians, the basis for what we believe and practice in all matters of life, including "religion," is the Bible.
More particularly, we recognize that the New Testament is the law which governs us today, the Law of Moses (Old
Testament) having been replaced by the Law of Christ (Hebrews 8:8-13; 10:9; Colossians 2:14). No council or
convention will make our laws or decide how we are organized. The gospel has done that already. No articles of faith
are necessary to help clearly distinguish us from "other faiths;" there is one faith (Ephesians 4:4-6)--it’s the gospel. If
you are part of a religious group defined and governed by creeds, confessions of faith, manuals, etc., will you not
consider being simply a "Christian" and following simply the gospel? What good purpose do creeds and sectarianism
serve? Consider the teaching in 1 Corinthians 1:10-17.
#4 - What is its creed or statement of faith?
